Solipsism
Me: Brian, I'm having déjà vu. Please tell me we haven't had this conversation before.
Brian: What conversation?
Me: This one. The one we're having right now.
Brian: Which one, the one about Quotebook?
Me: No, this one. The one we're having right now.
Brian: Matt, are you okay?

Enough Episode 23 — Quotebook →
minimalmac: For today’s episode of the podcast, we enjoy a great conversation with Matthew Bischoff, one of the developers behind my new favorite iPhone app, Quotebook. We not only discus the app but also share some of the favorite quotes we have in ours. Also, tune in to find out how we may have singlehandedly caused the Simplenote icon to change. This one was a lot of fun to record.

minimalmac: Anyone who has followed me for even a short time on Twitter, or The Random Post, should know how much I love quotes. It is not simply their inspirational nature or the food for thought, it is often simply the idea that so few words can convey such memorable and powerful messages. This appeals to me as a writer and someone who strives for minimalism. Up until now, I have been using my...

Gruen transfer →
In shopping mall design, the Gruen transfer is the moment when a consumer enters a shopping mall and, surrounded by an intentionally confusing layout, loses track of their original intentions. It is named for Austrian architect Victor Gruen (who disavowed such manipulative techniques). Recently, the Gruen transfer has been popularised by Douglas Rushkoff. There’s a Name for That.™
